We were delighted with the response following our recent 2 week long handbag amnesty in aid of Cancer Research UK’s Pink for October breast cancer awareness month.

Talking to the local paper Angela said “We have had a good response to our first ever handbag amnesty with customers coming in to donate their bags even if they didn’t need to purchase a new one”.

Customers visiting Suitables during the amnesty brought in over 45 bags to donate to Cancer Research which equates to an est imated value of £500 for this very worthwhile charity.   Jackie Gordon, Area Manager for Cancer Research UK said “We are very keen to promote breast awareness amongst women, every little donation means so much to the charity and we are really grateful that we were able to join forces with Suitables to help raise money and indeed the profile of the charity”.

So from all of us here at Suitables we would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU  to everyone who came  to the shop and donated a bag.
